Stephen Fulkerson, admitted to bar 2009, Illinois. Education: University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (BA Urban and Regional Planning, 2000); Western Michigan University Cooley Law School (JD, 2009).
While in law school Stephen was an active member of the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School Alternative Dispute Resolution Board and he interned with the Washtenaw County Public Defender. As a public defender Stephen represented felon clients charged with crimes which included driving under the influence, drug possession and parole violation.
Since joining the firm Stephen has focused his practice on business matters where he has gained extensive experience representing lenders in negotiating and drafting asset and non-asset based loan and security agreements. Stephen’s business practice also includes representation of small and mid-sized businesses in start-up, organizational and contract matters, including shareholder agreements, buy-out agreements, breach of contract actions, employment agreements, distribution agreements and asset and real estate purchase agreements. Stephen is also available to assist the firm’s clients in residential real estate transactions and with the preparation of wills and trust agreements.
